PICCK Student Scheme

This year, EdCity will launch a brand-new student incentive scheme. Built upon five developmental areas (PICCK), the scheme combines a series of programmes, activities, and competitions to foster self-directed learning and interactivity, hence promoting the all-round development of students. The PICCK EdCity Student Scheme encompasses the Chinese language, English speaking, creative writing, reading, Science and General Studies, computational thinking and artificial intelligence, and more. Under the scheme, prizes will be offered to both schools and individual students.

The PICCK Student Scheme offers a variety of learning activities for students to participate in throughout the year. These programmes are based on five developmental areas (PICCK), which include (P) Positive Mindset & Values, (I) Innovation & Creativity, (C) Communication & Collaboration, (C) Citizenship, and (K) Knowledge & Skills.

Positive Mindset and Values

To face situations with a positive mindset, bringing a positive impact to oneself and others.

Innovation and Creativity

Dare to explore, blending creativity and imagination to unlock infinite possibilities.

Communication and Collaboration

To practise listening, inclusivity, and collaboration with others, harnessing the spirit of teamwork.

Citizenship

To honour civic responsibilities by actively engaging in community service, safeguarding national interests, and upholding the national image.

Knowledge and Skills

Embrace lifelong learning and enrich knowledge and skills, integrating theory with practice to lay the foundation for personal growth.

Students can take part in programmes under the PICCK student scheme to accumulate points on the five key learning attributes. This allows them to understand and develop their learning profile to earn gold, silver, or bronze awards in the programme. Top individual performers can even compete for additional awards at the end of the semester.
All activities in the PICCK student scheme clearly indicate the learning attributes they cover, allowing students to easily discover and join activities of interest.

Want to view your learning profile? Simply click on My PICCK (Will be launched in November 2024) to access your accumulated points across the different learning attributes, as well as insights into areas to develop. Each semester, student rankings are also updated, allowing students to evaluate their own performance and progress level.

Points for the 2024/2025 year will be calculated from October 2024 onwards. Stay tuned!
