Objectives

Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) has long been committed to empowering students to unleash their innovative potential. In the 2025/26 academic year, EdCity integrated the “2025-2026 Hong Kong Inter-Primary Schools Eco-STEAM Competition” into the PICCKS Student Scheme as a supporting organisation. This initiative aims to encourage students to make use of their creativity and turn ideas into action through teamwork.

Participating students are encouraged to unleash their creativity by designing and building a lunar exploration vehicle, applying STEAM knowledge and knowledge gained in the classroom.

Through this competition, EdCity aims to spark students’ interest in environmental protection, scientific skills, astronomical exploration, and renewable energy, while nurturing future scientists and engineers and inspiring a passion for technology and space exploration.
