Project Overview
Supported by Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) and organised by the Association of Quality Parents , the “Chinese Culture Idiom Champion Cup” preliminary event aims to promote Chinese culture, encourage students to appreciate traditional wisdom through idioms, and enhance their language literacy.
The EdCity Student App has launched a special “Professor Panda Says Series Study Cards.” Students learn Chinese idioms in an interactive way, easily mastering their meanings and common usages, thereby improving their language application skills and making holiday learning more efficient and fun. In addition, EdCity has specially prepared the “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity” to allow students to practice what they have learned, increase their learning engagement, and review their self-study results.
Purpose
- Students are encouraged to make good use of their summer vacation for self-directed learning, and to improve their language skills through a fragmented learning model of “learning cards + animations”.
- Through the EdCity Student App, students can accumulate idiom knowledge through interactive learning.

Event Details
- From July 6 to August 24, 2026, the EdCity Student App will launch a total of 180 “Professor Panda Says Series Study Cards” and related online idiom quizzes.
- After viewing the electronic learning card, students can participate in the “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity.” Completing each quiz will earn them 500 Small Campus Coins.
- The “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity” questions are updated weekly. The top 50 students with the most participations during the event will receive a mystery electronic prize from Small Campus
Note: If the number of participation is the same, priority will be given to the participant who completed the quiz first. EdCity reserves the final decision on the distribution of gifts. In case of any disputes, EdCity retains the final decision, and participants may not contest it.
Event Flow
Step 1: Log in to the EdCity Student App and view the “Professor Panda Says Series” Study Cards.
Step 2: Participate in the “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity” (The quiz is available in Traditional Chinese only)
“EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity” has two groups: “Primary Group (Primary 1-6)” and “Secondary Group (Secondary 1-6)”. Interested students can log in to the following link to complete the quiz to receive a prize redemption code for the Small Campus.

How to Participate:
- Step 1: Fill out the registration form and watch “Professor Panda Says” using the designated streaming platform HMVOD.
- Step 2: Register to participate in the “Chinese Culture Idiom Champion Cup” Preliminary Round (4th Edition).
The “Chinese Culture Idiom Champion Cup” Preliminary Round (4th Edition) has 3 groups: “Parent-Child Group (K1-K3),” “Beginner Group (P1-P3),” and “Upper Group (P4-P6).” Interested students can log in to the following link to answer the questions, complete the questions, and submit their information to compete for a spot in the “Chinese Culture Idiom Champion Cup Competition” and win exquisite prizes and certificates!

*Note: There is no final round for the Kindergarten Group (K1-K3). Participants who have previously participated in the first to third rounds of the “Chinese Idiom Champion Cup” competition should not register again.

EdCity’s partners are offering a free one-year subscription to a designated streaming platform, encouraging students to appreciate Chinese culture through idioms and improve their language skills. If you would like to watch the “Professor Panda Says Series” on the platform, please first submit the registration form. Q2: Can I join the “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity” more than once?
EdCity will launch a new idiom online quiz every week. However, each quiz can only be submitted once.
Q3: How can I get the Small Campus coins reward for the “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity”?
After completing the quiz game, you will receive a redemption code. Please copy the code and use it in Small Campus Amusement Park to redeem your prize.
Q4: When will the results of the Small Campus mystery electronic prize for the “EdCity Idiom Online Quiz Activity” be announced?
EdCity will count the number of times participants joined after the event ends, and will notify the winning students individually.
