Self-Learning Treasure Hunt Challenge: Unlock New Knowledge during Easter

The arrival of Easter symbolises new beginnings and infinite possibilities! To encourage students to continue learning during the holidays and to establish good self-learning habits during the holiday, the EdCity has launched the “Self-Learning Challenge for the Easter.” During the event, students can complete a variety of self-learning tasks such as participating in small campus activities, taking Knowledge Fun+ Quiz Challenge, and submitting entries in eWorks.

This time, self-learning challenge introduces multiple new game formats include Easter Small Campus Catch U Up, themed photo spot, and story continuation submission. These additions aim to increase student engagement and deepen their learning experience. Participants only need to log in with student EdCity account and complete a certain number of tasks to have the chance to win rewards such as book vouchers, Too Easy stress ball, and small campus coins.

Participation Requirements

  1. Participants must first fill out the registration form.
  2. Participants will receive notifications about self-learning tasks via the registered email on specified days.
  3. Participants must log in to the EdCity website using student account and follow the instructions to complete the self-learning tasks.

Event Schedule

From 30 March 2026 to 19 April 2026 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays), EdCity will send self-learning task notifications to successfully registered participants via their registered email.

Participants must log in to the EdCity website with their account and complete the self-learning activities as per the task requirements.

Each student who successfully participates in the self-learning challenge will receive a certificate as recognition.

A “Special Task” for this term: participants must complete the 12-day Easter self-learning challenge missions, then submit a “self-study reflection” through the EdCity system by Friday, 24 April 2026 (Friday) or before. EdCity will score the submission and select two winners; each winner will receive two Hong Kong Ocean Park ticket and may have their work featured on the platform. Detailed arrangements for the Special Task will be notified by email in mid‑April 2026.

EdCity has specially established the “Active School Participation Award” for each group (including primary and secondary school) to recognise the top 10 schools with the highest student participation.  Awarded schools will receive a physical certificate as recognition. This initiative aims to encourage schools to participate in the self-learning challenge activities in a whole-school manner and to cultivate students’ ability for self-learning.

Note: If the number of days completed is the same, priority will be given to the participant who completed the tasks first. EdCity reserves the final decision on the distribution of gifts and the termination of the activity. In case of any disputes, EdCity retains the final decision, and participants may not contest it.
