What are Bedtime Stories?
It is a new initiative offered by EdCity to provide quality educational bedtime stories for parents to accompany children to spend the bedtime moment.
The animated stories aim to
- Enhance parent-child relationships through reading together
- Instil values into children with a lightweight method by engaging plots and graphics in the animated stories
- Provide an English language environment for students to learn English
Features of the stories
- Professionally curated content with positive value, with pause for reflection
- Specially designed images and animation suitable for children bedtime stories
- Vocal speed is specially paced for ease of listening
- Difficult words are explained in the videos to increase children vocabulary list through leisure reading
Stories were created with AI-assistance in different themes: Kindness counts, Adventure time, Friends and family, and The world around us.

Story Cover Colour Painting Competition
Apart from reading engaging stories, students can also participate in a Story Cover Colour Painting competition. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the activity to extend and improve the quality moment with children.
Artwork Requirements
Each participant can submit one completed story cover in each theme, from their respective category.
Participants can download a plain worksheet for bedtime stories, which will be available shortly.
Participants can submit one coloured worksheet per theme.
Levels of Entry
- Junior Primary Level (Primary 1 to Primary 3)
- Senior Primary Level (Primary 4 to Primary 6)

Results and Awards
Results for the Story Cover Colouring Competition will be announced on the website in mid-June 2025.
Prizes will include certificates and awards.
