What are Bedtime Stories?
It is a new initiative offered by EdCity to provide quality educational bedtime stories for parents to accompany children to spend the bedtime moment.
The animated stories aim to
- Enhance parent-child relationships through reading together
- Instil values into children with a lightweight method by engaging plots and graphics in the animated stories
- Provide an English language environment for students to learn English
Features of the stories
- Professionally curated content with positive value, with pause for reflection
- Specially designed images and animation suitable for children bedtime stories
- Vocal speed is specially paced for ease of listening
- Difficult words are explained in the videos to increase children vocabulary list through leisure reading
Stories were created with AI-assistance in different themes: Kindness counts, Adventure time, Friends and family, and The world around us.

Story Cover Colour Painting Competition
Apart from reading engaging stories, students can also participate in a Story Cover Colour Painting competition. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the activity to extend and improve the quality moment with children.
Submission Guidelines
Each participant can submit a maximum of 1 story cover per theme, using the “Submit Covers” button above.
- Participants can download a story cover worksheet below each bedtime story to colour.
- Participants should submit completed story covers in the following format:
a) A4 (210 x 297mm) size
b) JPEG/PDF format, size not exceeding 10MB
c) Fill the colouring sheet with any drawing tools, e.g. paint, colour pencils, crayons - Submitted entries cannot be modified or replaced after submission.
- The submission deadline is May 30, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.

- Junior Primary Level (Primary 1 to Primary 3)
- Senior Primary Level (Primary 4 to Primary 6)
